DIY Tutorial: Pennant Flag Banner

Pennant Flag Banner On A Budget

by Rena Durham Photography

What You’ll Need:

12″x12″ Scrapbook Paper in a variety of complimentary colors and patterns for the flags
1/2″ Wide Ribbon (length will depend on how long you want your banner to be)
Matching Thread
download my flag template {HERE}
Scissors or a Paper Cutter, Needle (or sewing machine)

Step 1:

Using the flag template, first cut out all your flags – this banner has 8 flags (if you want your banner longer you can cut more)

Step 2:

With your ribbon out and turned wrong side facing up
place the top of the flags wrong sides facing up against the ribbon.

Make sure to leave an adequate amount of ribbon on each side to be able to tie the ends to your backdrop stand, etc.

Step 3:

Sew the flags to the ribbon one at a time making sure that you have spaced each of your flags out evenly

Step 4:

Hang it up against a fun backdrop or on location (against a fence or using tree branches) and shoot away!
