Featured Session: This Little Piggy Photography

The session in Julie’s words …

“My little subject loves to look for mystical creatures on all her adventures. In the forest preserve she hunts for unicorns and fairies, and on the beach, it’s mermaids of course! Since she hadn’t yet spotted one, we thought it would be fun to create our own! What fun it was to see all the other little girls on the beach catch a glimpse of THEIR very own mermaid!”

These pictures are incredible! I would love to see a tutorial on the mermaid tail if you wouldn’t mind sharing it. I’m a Mom with a camera and would love to do this with my daughter. It’s just beautiful!

Hi Michelle! The tail is simply just fabric wrapped around her! I wanted a more “implied” mermaid than an obvious tail, so that’s all I did, and tried to be creative with angles and depth of field, and processing, etc. I made the crown and net shirt. :)
Thanks for the feature COPJ! So flattered!
